I have seen Nora twice now. It's a great little setup she has going on and I really do want to see her business thrive. I have been paying for regular massages most of my adult life. Due to previous trauma, I live in a constant state of hypervigiliance. What I like about Nora is that is appointment only. Which means there is no one moving through a lobby, checking out, phones ringing or outside noise to keep me alert. She will lock the door to ensure no one disturbs is for the duration of my appointment. It's a little bit more expensive than I usually pay but I feel like the feeling of safety and security is worth it. The room is dark, the music vibes, and it's like entering a little sanctuary. I am safe enough to relax which doesn't seem like a big deal but if you know you know. Nora herself is a Yankee princess from up north just like me, though I might argue she's a queen after the massage I just had. Listening to her accent reminds me of home and it's comforting after only hearing the southern drawl for years. She's super relatable and down to earth. It's like spending time your sis or auntie. She's got this super awesome frequency sound bed that shakes the last of any stress out of you at the end of the session and I'm a big big fan of that. She also offers body scrubs and says soon she's going to do wraps which I'm curious about. You should try it, it's pretty great.
